Why ARME? (& How Do You Even Say It, Anyways?)
It’s not ARMÉ, or Arm-ee… It’s pronounced like the word “arm” – Because why give you just a helping hand?
And The Logo? A.R.M.E. Stands For...

MANIPULATION
ENVIRONMENT
My definition of a studio. It’s a space where ideas come to life, where an ethereal thought gets distilled into physical reality… first through imagination, then the careful manipulation of vibrating air. For me, it is a mental place as much as a physical place. At A.R.M.E., it is our super power and unique set of skills to be able to extrapolate your imagination into something physical (and musical!) with a high degree of accuracy. With an aim to bring down some of the barriers that many music makers face: transportation, logistics, budget, & environment, ARME has made creating high quality songs almost frictionless.
Where'd The Name Come From?
I’ve always been inspired by the innovations of the 60s, especially when it comes to audio, and the devices created to capture it. In particular, the equipment created at Abbey Road Studios, largely due to the needs of the Beatles has been at the forefront of my mind. Abbey Road had a dedicated team of engineers behind all of this innovation – their name? The Record Engineering Development Department, or R.E.D.D. The REDD vacuum tube consoles are among the coolest pieces of analog gear I’ve ever seen, and my definition of a studio couple with a desire to pay homage to the greats is where the name originated.
The Face Behind The Name
My name is Joey DiTullio, owner of A.R.M.E. I’ve been fully immersed in music and sound since the age of 14, a freshman in high school. I was under the spell of sound for many years prior, but once my teens hit I knew that this was more than just a hobby to me – it was going to be my way of life. I’ve been writing, performing, producing, and engineer records for myself and others ever since. I live in the Greater Princeton area with Jera, my beautiful wife of 1 year and our two cats: Britta & Winnie. Besides sound, I love the outdoors, astrology, math, puzzles, and horticulture.
