Where'd the Name Come From?

Abbey Road Studios had a dedicated team of engineers behind the gear innovations that shaped the sound of the 1960s. They built vacuum tube consoles, custom preamps, and signal chain solutions that didn’t exist yet. They called themselves the Record Engineering Development Department — R.E.D.D.

A.R.M.E. is a nod to that legacy: the idea that great sound comes from dedicated people with deep knowledge of their tools, not just the tools themselves.

The Face Behind the Name

My name is Joey DiTullio. I’ve been fully immersed in music and sound since I was 14 — writing, performing, producing, and engineering records for myself and others ever since.

I live in the Greater Princeton area with my wife Jera and our two cats, Britta and Winnie.

When I’m not at the board, I’m outdoors, doing math, or killing houseplants trying to figure out horticulture.
